SA fintech startup Yoco raises $16m in series B funding

South African point of sale (PoS) payments startup Yoco has raised US$16 million in Series B round. The round was led by Partech, with participation from Orange Digital Ventures, FMO and existing Series A investors Quona Capital and Velocity Capital. Semiconductor startup Groq raises $52M from Social Capital

Groq has raised $52.3 million of a $60 million round, per an SEC filing from Social Capital. Social Capital co-founder and former Facebook executive Chamath Palihapitiya, who’s listed on the filing, has participated in the funding. StanChart partners with Women in Tech Incubator in search for women-led startups in Kenya
