London Startups Pitch At The Vizag $1 Million Challenge

On Sunday, Global startup challenge roadshow, AP $1 Million Global Challenge held its London event at Visa Innovation Center where more than 150 startups applied for the challenge and went through a screening process.

Over 20 finalist start-ups pitched in the areas of FinTech, EmergeTech and AgriTech.

Roadshow that started a month ago in Chicago, after covering NY, San Francisco, TelAviv, Hong Kong, Paris completed the global destinations with London and continues to Bangalore on Oct 10 th, 2018 as the final destination of the global roadshow.

25 Finalists across the 8 locations will be announced by October 12th who will be awarded $10K prize money. 6 winners will be awarded seed funding of minimum USD 100K and incubation facilities at Vizag Fintech festival, October 22 – 26, 2018.

The 6 start-ups short-listed as the top qualifiers in London were:-

Orbo – a computer vision and deep facial technology company.

AssetVault – allows customers to catalogue all their physical and digital assets in one secure register

Zasti – an AI platform that provides a scientific and proven way of predicting component or mechanical failure using a transparent SaaS model.

SmartFertilizer – Cloud-based decision farming platform that enables growers to continuously optimize crop fertilizer management and maximize profits.

Desolenator – Help us develop the most affordable and environmentally friendly water purification.

Brainpool – a network of over 300 top-level artificial intelligence and machine learning experts.

Judges included prominent members of the London startup ecosystem as well as the corporates – Mark Pettit, Executive Director, Partnerships and Venture, Visa, Alison Fowler, Mobility Director, Ford and Endre Sagi, Principal, C5 Capital to name a few.

Vizag FinTech festival is a global innovation event to bring together an eco-system of new generation of innovation partners, incubators and corporations from around the world.
