1. Active.ai – Singapore

Active Intelligence enables financial institutions to deliver their services using Intuition and Automation over channels of engagement by connecting consumers with their banks via micro conversation.

2. Appier – Taiwan

Appier provides artificial intelligence solutions to help enterprises solve their business problems. The startup operates 14 offices across Asia including Taipei, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Osaka, Sydney, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Hong Kong, Mumbai, New Delhi, Jakarta, Seoul, and Bangkok to serve around 1,000 brands globally.

3. Cortica – Israel

Backed by more than 200 patents, artificial intelligence startup Cortica develop multiple products that can read and understand images on a human level­–thereby significantly exceeding the capabilities of the major tech companies.

4. Logz.io – Israel

Logz.io provides log management and log analysis services and simplifies log analysis by using predictive analytics and machine-learning algorithms to find and predict critical events in the volumes of information that is now constantly generated in IT environments by servers, applications, and network devices.

5. Mobvoi – China

Mobvoi developed Chinese voice recognition, semantic analytics, and search technologies that can be found on WeChat, iOS, Android and Google Glass. The startup has also partnered with Google and Volkswagen to apply its AI technology to the wearable tech and automobile market.

6. Preffered Networks – Japan

Preferred Networks uses real-time machine learning technologies to develop new applications in the emerging field of the Internet of Things.

7. SenseTime – China

Valued at more than $3bn, SenseTime is a deep learning start-up that has developed face recognition technology that can analyze faces and images for applications such as bank card verification and surveillance among other similar applications.

8. TuSimple – China

With offices in both China and US, TuSimple is an autonomous truck technology startup that is working to create low-cost, commercially viable self-driving system for the transport industry.

9. UBTECH Robotics – China

Ubtech develops intelligent humanoid robots that enhance the way people live, work, learn, and play. It offers a range of products, including the STEM learning Jimu robot for children and Lynx, the Alexa-enabled smart-home robot.

10. ViSenze – Singapore

Aimed at improving customers’ experience, ViSenze is an artificial intelligence startup that develops advanced visual search and image recognition solutions to help businesses in eCommerce, mCommerce and online advertising by using R&D in machine learning and computer vision technology to recommend visually similar items to online shoppers, either on e-commerce platforms when they browse or search by uploading a picture or on content publishers platforms like social media and video networks.
