Reports emerged over the weekend that BlackBerry is planning to launch its next smartphone the BlackBerry z30 in Asia before the end of this week. While there is no word on a UK launch, a US launch is expected to follow between two to three weeks after. Asia
According to Pocket-Lint, BlackBerry will be holding events in France, Malaysia and India on Wednesday September 18th.
Details about the BlackBerry Z30 first emerged in July. Leaks over the summer revealed that the handset will come with a five-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 by 768 pixels.
Apart from the 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 768, the smartphone will also come with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor under the hood, along with 2GB of RAM. The flagship will come with the latest BBOS 10.2.0.1442 as well as a 2880mAh battery. There is also speculation that the smartphone will come with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD slot. Other features hinted at include Qi wireless charging as well as an 8-megapixel camera.
So far, BlackBerry has refused to comment on the speculation.
