Videocon launches A55HD Android smartphone for Rs. 13,499

Videocon Mobiles has launched its new Android powered smartphone in the Indian market A55HD priced at Rs 13,499.

The Videocon A55HD features a 5-inch OGS capacitive display with a 1280x 720 pixels resolution display; it is further powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone also includes an 8 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and it can take up to 40 continuous shots in burst mode, it also has a 3.2 megapixel camera on the front.  It also comes loaded with a 2,000mAh battery.

The A55HD smartphone has 4GB of built-in storage capacity which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. In terms of the software the device will come pre-loaded with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and includes an in-house app store called V-Store. Videocon A55HD also comes with ‘Flip To Silent’ and ‘Face Detection’ feature.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS/A-GPS.
