During the Xander Zhou fashion show in London, yesterday, Chinese maker Lenovo unveiled its first Windows 815-inch ultrabook, the ThinkPad S531 – a large, business-class ultrabook that weighs about 5 pounds and which has a display that you can fold back 180 degrees.
With an aluminium LCD cover in silver or graphite black, which Lenovo added is “sand blasted and anodised”, the Thinkpad S531 is “smooth to the touch for a premium feel”.
The ThinkPad S531 is powered by Intel 3rd generation Core™ processors, making it 15 percent faster than its predecessor with up to nine hours of battery life. With up to 10 GB of memory and 500 GB of storage, users don’t have to sacrifice responsiveness for performance. The S531 can store up to 150,000 MP3s or 250 full-length feature films.
Its six-row backlit keyboard that includes Windows 8 optimized shortcut keys and a large touchpad supporting Windows 8 gestures. Other features include gesture support for the touchpad, a 720p video camera with face-tracking and noise-cancelling microphones, JBL speakers and USB 3.0 connectivity.
