Lemon Mobiles on Wednesday expanded the flagship Aspirational Smartphone series with the launch of high-end smartphone A4 in India.
The company which has 15 smartphone models including four devices from aspirational series, with 11 of the devices ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 9,000, will sell the A4 model for Rs 17,999
Lemon A4 sports a 5.0-inch IPS Full HD screen with 1920x1080p display resolutions, has a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor, runs on Android mobile OS v4.2 Jelly Bean, has 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory expandable to 64GB, 13.1MP rear-end camera with auto-focus and LED flash support, and 5.0 MP front-end camera capable of recording HD videos as well as video calling.
Sandeep Mushran, co-founder and director of Fastrack Communications, the maker of Lemon Mobiles, said the company would focus on strengthening its smartphones portfolio, and would be launching a 3D-device in the next 15 days, priced below Rs.18,000.
“We aim to achieve sales volume of five lakh devices a month by September-October, 20 per cent of which will be smartphones,” Mr. Mushran told reporters here.
The company is also targeting to increase its turnover to Rs.500 crore by the end of this fiscal from Rs.200 crore in the previous year.
The Lemon A4 is likely to be released in the next few days. It will face tough competition not only from phablets from Micromax, Karbonn and Lava, but also phablets launched by Samsung.
