Following the recent launch of the Nokia Lumia 925, Nokia today announced the sales start of the phone that introduces a metal design and showcases the latest PureView camera innovation.

The Nokia Lumia 925 introduces metal for the first time to the Nokia Lumia range with the polycarbonate back coming in white, grey or black. A wireless charging cover, available separately in white, black, yellow, and red can be clipped onto the back of the phone to take advantage of Nokia’s extensive wireless charging accessories and ecosystem.

The Windows 8 OS phone features 4.5″ AMOLED WXGA (1280×768) Super Sensitive Touch display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon, 8.7 MP PureView rear-end camera with Optical Image Stabilization, Autofocus, short pulse high power dual LED flash, most advanced lens technology, 1080p HD video at 30fps and the Nokia Smart Camera app, 1.2 MP wide angle front-end camera, 1GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory; 7 GB free SkyDrive cloud storage, and the Free HERE Maps and HERE Drive.

An additional feature coming to Lumia first with the Nokia Lumia 925 is a beta version of the Nokia Glance Screen introducing the standby screen clock. Now, with a quick look and without pushing any buttons, users can see the time and the battery level indicator on the screen when the phone is not used. A double tap on the standby screen now wakes the phone up, making it easier to unlock.

The Nokia Lumia 925 offers a variety of exclusive services such as Nokia Music for unlimited streaming of free music playlists. The suite of integrated location and navigation services include HERE Drive+ and HERE Maps. Additionally, HERE Maps with augmented reality view is available in the Store for download.
