On Thursday, BlackBerry launched the Q10, its latest smartphone with the iconic QWERTY keyboard, in India at Rs 44,990, hoping to regain share in one of the world’s fastest growing phone markets that consumes about 17-18 million smartphones every year.
The phone which is available in white and black color variants, comes with a 3.1 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixel, dual-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A9 processor, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM, 64GB expandable memory, 8 megapixel rear-end camera, a 2 megapixel front-end camera.
Other features include the BlackBerry 10 OS, PowerVR SGX544, A-GPS support, BlackBerry maps, and Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery.
The Q10, is priced above its previous product the Z10, that was launched at Rs 44,990 in February.
The Q10 becomes the second costliest product from the Canadian smartphone maker, after the P9981 that costs about Rs 1.39 lakh. According to the company, the Q10 will be available across 20 cities in India starting this Friday.
